BOYS WILL BE BOYS

A crazy house party, unsolicited nudes and a vicious attack threatens to fracture a group of Kent teenagers as they disagree about speaking out. They face a dilemma they could never have imagined.

An urgent new play that explores modern masculinity and the pressures on today’s digital generation online and IRL.

Performed at the Hazlitt Theatre in February 2024, the production employed an inventive fusion of live theatre and projection that brought the digital realm to life on stage, challenging boundaries and defying expectations.

Created by a team of professional theatre-makers and the Hazlitt Institute Youth Theatre. The cast of performers were found through a wide-ranging series of workshops and auditions which engaged 400 young people across Maidstone and Medway.
