ALLY IN WONDERLAND

I was commissioned by RUINED THEATRE to write a modern version of Lewis Carroll’s classic tale. The show was seen by over 2,000 audience members across 10 days of performances in August 2022.

In an attempt to avoid going back to school, Ally falls down a rabbit hole. The curious and imaginative Ally goes on a journey of self-discovery and encounters a colourful cast of characters including a “mad” Hatter who has tea over and over, and a Cheshire Cat who talks in riddles. Wonderland is a whacky world where nothing is as it seems. To return home, Ally must decide who she wants to be if she is to defeat the savage Queen of Hearts.
